way better than I expected although I basically listened to each of them once and then forgot about them. A little bit of a mechanical animals vibe, but slightly heavier and less glam inspired.
His vocals were surprisingly good, his voice has aged in a cool way. Also seems like he’s assembled a pretty killer band right now.
I dug 'em! Watched a bunch of live stuff a few weeks ago and he was killin' it!
This was always one of my favorites-
I wrote this dude off a long time ago when he was stumbling all over the stage, tossing coke around and singing like shit. Seems things are shifting in his life all around and I hope it continues in an upward swing for him. That dude was my generation's Alice Cooper and was the figurehead of a huge culture in the 90's, we've had enough dead rockstars.
I totally have a “I used to play VFW’s and also have an AxeFX” crush on her You don’t see many players in the ‘core’ genres diving into effects as much as she does. Code Orange as a whole is a band that leaves it all on the stage and I respect the hell out of that.
Probably just a break. I’m a bigger fan of Code Orange’s ethic than their music. Listening to a few podcasts with the singer or interviews with Reba it seems they have a “high tides raises all ships” outlook on things and her playing with Manson is probably a “Dude, go tear it the fuck up with Manson and continue getting our name out there and making connections”, not to mention they’re most likely fans, too.
