The power amp in my M.Britt 1x12 went kaput so I ordered a new one direct from Dayton. Unfortunately it doesn’t have the DSP tunings in it.

I’m looking for someone with a 1x12 Xitone cabinet (not a wedge) to help me out.

I want to see if we can pull the DSP presets out of your amp and get them to me.

My exact Xitone is the older M.Britt 1x12 with the removable panel on the back. I think it’s a Celestion speaker in it. It’s coaxial that I know.

The amp model: Dayton Audio PPA800DSP

Maybe @hippietim can come out of forum retirement 🤔 I was thinking he had one. Maybe?

Did you try contacting Mick?

Yup. Have tried a few channels. I feel bad pushing him here. This isn't necessarily his problem. He was already super kind about getting that amp replaced. Whatever has caused him to fall off the face of the earth, I don't necessarily want to add to his stress there.

Looks like Xitone is not in business anymore. Mick was in Greensboro. That’s not far from me - I’m out that way pretty often. If he’s still there and there’s anything I can do, let me know.

How did this turn out?
I need to buy the newer power amp that allows me to program it via USB. My older amp use some antiquated and proprietary connection that Dayton no longer sells.

After that I’ll have to build my own curves and crossover settings.

It’s currently collecting dust in my basement.

@iarsee - I'm considering purchase of an Xitone MBritt in mint condition for $400. It's far enough away (a minimum of 2 hour drive each way-possibly more if traffic turns bad) that I can't just go try it. I have an EV PXM-12MP, but I'm looking for something that's closer to the Fender FR-12. I had an FR-12 and installed the ArcAngel V1 preamp. I ended up trading the FR-12 because I was struggling with not having enough volume for the band I was in at the time. Do you have any thoughts about the MBritt compared to the FR-12? I don't remember if you've tried the FR-12, so many pardons if you're not familiar.

I'm not sure if it is or isn't close to an FR-12.

I can say the coaxial Celestion in mine is f'ing awesome. A LOUD. My god this thing can loosen your bowels if you crank it up. The ability to open the back up was always nice as well.

I never wanted for volume with the MBritt when it was working well.

I posted a reply in the other thread that I started. Sorry for jumping all over the place.
