Just picked these up.

Very interesting instruments. The Bass vi is pretty cool but what surprises me the most is how much I like the PRS. Just over 5 lbs and musical. Haven't plugged it in yet but am looking forward to it.

Very cool, nice assortment there.
I was interested in that PRS model too, and would certainly fill a void in my current collection. Let us know how you like when you have some time with it.

Those hollowbody se models have been going silly cheap in some of the sales in the UK but I've not had any free cash to pick one up yet. One of my mates has one and it punches way above it's price bracket. It does not feel like a cheaper guitar as all, just feels like a prs. Even the pickups are pretty decent.

Plugged it in for a bit. I like it! The hollow body adds something that my JP6 piezo doesn't have. The magnetic pickup is pretty decent. Running an OD808x into the Bad Cat Lynx and it's passable for metal even. The hollow body does make it seem different but is definitely usable.

I would pass on the non piezo version. The piezo really makes the guitar.

The PRS should be squarely in my wheelhouse but I found it waaaay too bright on the mag pickups. Granted, that was through a Shatalyst amp, so maybe that had everything to do with it? Kinda dampened my interest, though.

The other two, though...:guiness

I've kinda wanted a Bass VI but have not bought one because I probably would not play it enough. Fender Jaguar is similar that I like it on an idea level.

@Deadpan why do you need so many guitars?
Should I plead the fifth? Haha

Honestly I don't need these. The price paid forced the purchase.

However, through all the years selling Kemper profiles, IRs and captures I found it is near impossible to predict what tone will work from one player to the next and having different guitars really shines a light on part of the reason.

It's interesting also that each instrument has an effects on the style of play I approach it with. I've always enjoyed just playing whatever comes to mind. I write most of the things I play impromptu. The variation in guitars really inspires this.

I’ve wanted a Bass VI for years, I wish they’d just make a Strat version, damnit!

Les Pauls were my abnormal ones until earlier this year. I think Rickenbacker would be next on the list and I have zero, none, nada, zilch influence to ever play one again. There’s nothing about the sound or aesthetic that makes me curious in any way.

Awesome haul!

Jazzmaster is fun. I got one earlier this year and really enjoyed it then honeymoon wore off and I forgot about it. I got a set of noiseless pickups I need to drop into it because I HATE NOISE. I think I may tune that one to D Standard actually, the brighter pickups seem ideal for drop tuning.

I would LOVE a Bass VI. Seems like a really cool bass for guitar players. I mean The Beatles to The Cure, to The Deftones, if you are a badass band with "The" in your name it's a must right?

PRS SE Hollowbody looks cool as well. I tried it multiple times locally and something's just off but it's probably the specific model.

I wasn't too sold on the Jazzmaster on first play. Then I found a great rhythm with it and the groove seemingly changed my mind?

I like to play bass. It's tricky to do finger style on the VI, especially slap and pop. However, with a pick it really is just like any other bass with the option to do more chords and higher leads.

The PRS is setup so well. It took a bit to really find its sweet spot. I really like blending the mag and piezo pickups. I have an acoustic pack released for Tonex that sounds really great with it. I don't like the neck as it it a bit baseball bat like but I can deal with it.
