Very cool lesson. Of course I am all in when it comes to understanding music in modes because I use them in my music too as such. This is not the rule now a day. It is my impressiom more think in terms of undefined freedom around tonic, subdominant and dominant, though every modern progression can be understood in terms of modal interchangement. The benefit is widely demonstrated in the vid: You can explore systematically and test every variation before making up your mind. Less coincidences and more obvious options. Thanks for sharing.
