I did once in an unfinished house, in a Great Room with high ceilings, and hardwood floors! Just my LP straight into my 50 watt JCM 900 half-stack, dimed, and it.was.glorious!! Cops in 3-2-1. But it was before 9 pm, so we kept going!
One of these nights I'm bringing my FM9 rig to work and getting up on the roof of one of the 3-story buildings. The property is across the street from an airport and most of our roofs are white, no one on the ground will know where the sound is coming from but people flying over will see me just fine!
If I wasn't such an old fucker I'd haul the 4x12s and the Matrix 1600 or a 100 watter over there and let it rip properly. I need to do this.
The Mustang only weighs 40lbs. or so which is manageable but it doesn't do metal for shit. Pretty decent for clean tones. The Celestion Seventy 80 speakers and an open back are not the greatest, it's a boxy, woofy mess.
Still pretty fun to crank something up in a big place though.
The Mustang can get loud as hell, I can't stand directly in front of it, even at a good distance. I can literally smell the electronics cooking after ripping on it. I can't believe it hasn't stopped working yet.
Celestion Seventy 80 - This 12 inch guitar speaker is detailed and crisply defined, with a controlled low-end and punchy and an aggressive upper mid-range.
