Jackson PC 1 anyone strip the pick ups and sustainer?

The sustainer is cool for a minute then when you actually need a cool neck tone for blazing runs or a clean tone it poops the bed. Opting pull rhe pick up as the bridge (SD3) is crappy for the mids tones I like
The main issue is the middle and neck pup slots will not take a standard single coil that is flared at the base. Was looking at the Dimarzio Satch track but some pics show it flared a little and not sure if it will fit.


Anyone up grade your PC 1? Pick ups used?

I would get in touch with DiMarzio and see if they can make a Satch Track to fit. I think they will put different covers on there, so maybe they could make the style that doesn't have that little tab at the bottom. Whenever I've called them, I've been able to talk to a real person. Good luck!

You could ask DiMarzio if they could put it in a Fast Track cover, for instance. I see that doesn't have the tab at the bottom. I'd imagine it would be possible!

I've had the Dimarzio rails come both ways. I'd send them an email, the newer production versions might come without as standard?

Talked to em,.. all new rails pups come with NO flange!
