It's definitely not a comforting sight to see. How wide is that gap??

Does your string alignment look ok? Like both E's are actually on the fingerboard?

I'd say no. The main important part of the neck joint is the flatted part of the neck sitting on the bottom of the neck pocket. The neck screws will do their job keeping things tight there. Anything else is pretty much cosmetics.

Yeah not sure how wide 😅😂

I think the alignment is okay, three pics here

If you can't wedge a guitar pick in there it most likely won't be an issue, but if you can stick a dime in there, ya might wanna send it back. @Eagle will have better knowledge of the issues that can occur and at what point than I do.

Not structural but not nice. I would send it back on fit and finish alone. It’s an issue with left handed instruments that because the are built in small numbers and assembled by right handed people. It’s harder to see everything in the same way when it’s back to front.

Maybe it’s just my eyes, but the string alignment does looks slightly askew to me. Personally I’d loosen the neck screws a bit and give the neck a light pull to the bass side and see if the alignment and gap seem better. Fender guitars are somewhat notorious for those types of shifts in shipping.

That’s just me though, not an expert.

The neck joint is pretty sloppy. You can take it to a good tech and have them straighten it out or send it back and get a better one to start with. I would probably do the latter.
