For metal, I kinda agree. I could easily rock a metal guitar with one, bridge pickup, and no tone or volume knob.

I do like how her Jackson sig is rigged with 2 volume knobs. I might even consider wiring my ARZ the same way some time.

For metal/modern metal, sure probably. For just about anything else the tone knob can be very useful.

Especially if you’re rocking a Tele. That was the guitar that transformed me from a snot-nosed, long-haired metal snob punk kid into a mature and versatile musician.

Tone knobs are ok. And I'm use them myself on the neck pickup playing jazz or blues styles.

But the bass contour that Reverend guitars have is far better. To the extent I'm wondering if it's something I can retrofit on to my Baum Wingman.
