New models from Ibanez. I think they look pretty cool.

The asymmetric neck and other specs sounds a bit like it’s a parallell track with Strandberg, plus an actual head. Interesting to hear the price point of these.

Also now I’d really like a voicing toggle switch like these have for the Fishman voicings instead of push/pull pots on my Fluence-equipped guitar!

I can tell there are plenty of differences, but that silhouette is really close to a Kiesel Kyber. Which I guess is in the lineage of the Strandberg.

To me the Abasi guitars are the closest.

The Ibanez Alphas have a similar shape but chop off the rounded bits.

I'm guessing this is sort of like Ibanez's take on a Strandberg style guitar without alienating the people who really hate how headless guitars look.

Adding headstocks still don’t do it for me.

They put out a couple RG’s that got me perked up for once…..only to do the same damn thing Ibanez does EVERY FUCKING YEAR by putting out models that are 98% perfect but one spec throws it all off enough to not want it at all.

Why would they not put ebony boards on these?!?!

Also, weird price jump between these; both Prestige’s but the white one is $1500 and the tan(?) one is $2500.

Oh! But this one has an ebony boards! Seems to be the same guitar as above with only that difference and $300 cheaper. WTF is up with their pricing?
