I Like Big Boosts and I Cannot Lie.

Ever since landing on my latest favorite drive pedals I have been on a Quest for Boosts.

I’ve bought at least 10 or so in the recent past. Some I already had.

Fender Engager
The Chellee’s (clean mode)
Nux Queen of Tone
MXR iL Torino
Nux Lacerate
Laney TI-Boost
EQD Plumes (clean mode)
Diamond Boost/EQ
Diamond Comp/EQ (I count comps that boost)
Vox Valvenergy Smooth Impact
Ibanez Penta EQ
Source Audio ZIO
Others probably…

Would you guys share your go-to’s or experiences with any of the above? Boost are somewhat new to me at this level of investigating anyway!

Not technically boost-only pedals, but I like the way they work as boosts due to their EQ stages:

Ibanez TS-9 (and other interations)
Klon Centaur (clones)
Boss SD-1

Not technically boost-only pedals, but I like the way they work as boosts due to their EQ stages:

Klon Centaur (clones)

Nux Horseman, Queen of Tone and Chellee Ponyboy are all clones or variants of Klon.

Yet I've never tried a single one on your list! I guess the closest I've owned would be the Diamond Marquis, which is fantastic

My LPD 68D is similar. Great combo when a Plexi and a boost is in one pedal. Carl Martin’s Plexi-Ranger is another one.

Come to think of it, by looking at the PCB, the circuit looks so simple, I might just breadboard it.
