According to some videos it seems like Angus swaps between both, depending on how the wind blows. Anyone knows?
Anyway, which one do you use?
First time I have to play this song with a band after more than 35 years playing guitar, and I intuitively find it easier with the thumb

I tend to keep my thumb off of the fretboard, I don't have those long Hendrix fingers where I can get away with it.

That song is mandatory at cover gigs here and i think I've played it every possible way over the years. Thumb is probably the default for me though.
