Guitar Pro sounds kinda suck...

I'm finally getting around to starting to use GP (8) to learn some stuff. The built in sounds kinda suck. Is there a way to make them sound good? Or at least suck less? Ideally you could have them trigger software instruments in your DAW I suppose. I use Logic (for now; may switch to Cubase if I go all-PC).

Any ideas? Or just leave the sounds alone and carry on?
