I’m not sure how they managed this ;

Drilled the tunamatic post holes a good half inch too far forward and the stoptail to match.
Factory filled before the paint for the tunamatic but left the stoptail.
Now it’s too close to the abr1 so on goes a custom made plate and a bigsby.🤣
This is a 64 ES335.
Yes another, I get one a week at the moment but at least this wasn’t for wiring.

Nice pickups though;

Nobody has touched these.
These are the most troublesome when faked in to paf with a crazy parts decal . The pickup basically is identical to a paf and a 64 looks like it could be a couple of years older without touching it.But the value then goes up at least 4x.

Yes you have to black light the decal and hope they don’t know the trick to fix that too.

Gibson has let some interesting stuff out the door. I have a 2016 SG Standard that has the wrong headstock overlay on it The neck is the SG neck but the headstock has the Les Paul overlay on it instead of the SG overlay with the crown/flower pot inlay on it. I had an email going with them where I tried to get them to admit it was a mistake and they wouldn't do it. I know it is because the guy I bought it from at the shop I got it at told me he noticed it and called them. They told him to box it up and send it back. He did a setup on it and hung it on the rack for sale. I bought it because of the mistake and it turned out to be one of the best playing and sounding SGs I have ever played.
