Well, in my opinion it just sounds phenomenal. Tighter, punchier lows, a really sweet complex and articulate midrange and the highs are right on point. This was an expensive upgrade but worth it to me. I now have $1075 total in to this amp and really really like it.

I tried it with a lot of pedals and the standouts were the DS-1X, OD-200, Pentatone Preamp, Echolution 3 and Neunabor Illumine. The SDE-3000EVH was killer too.

Haven't seen much on the pentatone. How is it? I wish all the features were individually usable, it'd be a killer swiss army knife.

Sound great. One of the best I’ve heard ever. Very versatile for medium on up to high gain. Well built, heavy in weight and tone. Features work well. Quiet. 9.4/10.

I’ve done a similar upgrade to a Fender TM Deluxe with a CB12-65 but the results weren’t are surprisingly great as the TM SR with the 10’s.

Must be that 4x10 mojo going on because it’s definitely something special.

I will say and some might get it, you know things are going well sonically when the dang guitar starts to play itself.

Only happens once in a while for me. It’s something like love… where the world just feels right and life/music is effortless.

That’s what I’m feeling right now.

Disclaimer: this is all at bedroom or slightly higher. Stage warriors consider that. But stack sound at low db’s for sure. And clean too, highlights premium pedals IMO.

I was also interested in these for obvious reasons. Not so obvious the apparent thump they have:

“This guitar speaker was developed to recapture the legendary sound of Celestion’s 1970s 10s – a 10 speaker with a surprisingly meaty tone. Low in output but with the weighty low-end balance of a 12-inch speaker, the G10 Greenback features a complex mid-range and smooth vintage top-end. In small combos this speaker adds real class and when combined in a 4×10 gives rise to a raunchy full-bodied tone rich in low-end thump.”

Might load any future 4x10 cabs with:
