Favorite/Coolest-Sounding Effects That 'Make' A Song

Might as well just put the entire first two A Perfect Circle albums here :rofl

I dunno what the hell it is, there's double tracking, almost sounds like a ring modulator but maybe it's chorus and fuzz with some pitch effects-

Tape flanging is always cool. When I first heard Gypsy Eyes by Jimi I was hooked. I try to copy it every now and then. :grin
His auto wah effect on Burning of the Midnight Lamp is another. His use of a univibe on Machine Gun & the Star-Spangled Banner are epic.
I could go on with Jimi....
These songs would be great without the effects but I think they bring everything together in to something unique. Throw in Jimi's uniqueness and you have something very special.

Can you do any kind of 1980's era Clean tone with lots of Compression and drenched in Chorus Gravy? :chef

Some others that immediately came to mind:

Kurt Cobain with a Polychorus

Jack White with a Whammy and Big Muff

Speaking of Whammy…

Speaking of Big Muff…

And lastly pretty much every song Cory Wong plays with the compressor
