If you've tried multiple of these BB-style pedals, feel free to share your experiences with them! I'm curious about their tonal differences. It's totally different when you're listening to demos and actually playing them. If you have a different pedal in mind, let me know too! I gotta know them BBs

PS: What's your thoughts on a ThorpyFX Peacekeeper?

I had the original Marshall Bluesbreaker pedal back in I think the 1990s and it disappeared. I think I lended it to a "friend" and he must of never returned it. Anyways the only other one on that list that I tried before yet is the Analogman Prince of Tone and liked that a lot.

After Marshall came out with the reissue Bluesbreaker pedal recently, Pro-Audio Star was blowing them out, so I snagged one as well as a Guv'nor. The new reissue sounds as good as I remember the originals sounding. So, so far the Marshall Bluesbreaker pedal is my favorite.

Yeah the Lightspeed is a modified Timmy with a single tone control instead of the seperate bass and treble. It's definitely not based on the blues breaker circuit.
Oops, I did not know that. I always thought the Lightspeed was based on a BB. Removing it IG

EDIT: looks like I can't remove it, sad

I actually had a reissue as well! It was amazing, But I just thought that I could get more versatility (and space) with an another bb pedal

I've had a few of them and if I were to buy one today I would go with the JHS Morning Glory.

The Golden Boy is super versatile but there's a lag when switching it on. I have the mini version which has no lag but it feels like the tone is kind of all over the place. Got a Duke of Tone but it seems like it just recreates all the same issues the original BB had. Morning Glory I've only played models of it but it seems to have a nice EQ built in and has proper amounts of volume on tap.

I keep meaning to build an original spec blues breaker. I've made most of the popular clones over the years but never one in the OG spec.

Might throw one on vero this week just to check it out.

An older guy who plays in a local church has the golden boy pedal. Of course his technique and experience mean tone is in his fingers, but I have seen him play and he sounds amazing. It is the only pedal he owns.

Someone in the Synergy thread on TOP has the Golden Boy and speaks highly of it as a boost.
