Where the hell you been hiding at?

Haven't touched it since before getting the Knaggs about a year ago.
2019 Plini with my own forearm carve. Also filed down the neck joint to NX specs.

Has the original etched in logo on the top instead of the rub on decal.
Is there such thing as a vintage Strandberg at this point? :pickle

That looks fantastic. Especially the frets!

I've only played one Strandberg and it was phenomenal and haunts me a bit. It was so perfect up and down the neck, really impressive. Just dead on intonation and feel.

Im just kind of flabbergasted that someone forgot they had a guitar....

Just in case it isn't obvious, I was joking. It really had been in the case over a year though.
I'd been playing full time Strandberg for a long time prior. I know their head US guy and
Strandberg's office/warehouse is really close so I'd had at least a dozen different ones
go through here.

Funny, always stuck with the 1st one I ever got though - this original Plini I found on Reverb back in 2020.
Had a Plini NX for a while but didn't really like it. The mahogany body and neck just didn't resonate
at all like the roasted maple neck and ash body of the original.

@Jarick

And the weight...
And the ergonomics...

Played nothing but the Knaggs LP for 6-8 months. Then it was 100% Schecter strat for the last couple.
Dusted off the Plini for 2 days and then went right back to swapping between the bigger two for a day.

The guitar is just a hair under 5 lbs  and it's so damn small, on top of the unique neck shape and fanned SS frets.

At this point when a Strat or LP is strapped on the thing almost plays me in a way - in that the entire experience of
playing either is so damn second nature at this point.

Had my first Fender Strat and Gibson Les Paul (not at the same time!) before I'd turned 16 in 1976.
Didn't touch a Strandberg until 2020 - so the experience is still somewhat honey-moonish, relatively speaking.

The other ridiculously obvious thing is how much easier, and better sounding, slurs and slides are with SS frets!

Biggest gripe? It can be very strident if I dig in too hard when playing up high on the E and B.
Think the body is too small and there's not enough wood to help smooth those things out.

Try lowering the treble side of the bridge pickup to help the "strident"-ness?

It's a balance. If I adjust to kill the loud stuff then it's too watered down in lower positions.
It's more just being conscious of it and just not digging in so hard.

Yeah, and I felt dumb for even suggesting it but figured wth.

You can finally buy a headpiece that works properly for Strandbergs The one piece version.
