Easiest way to upload audio clips?

What’s the easiest way to upload short audio clips to posts here?

I keep wanting to share little snippets but I don’t want to upload all of those to SoundCloud

Audius has been alright. Sound quality is slightly better than Soundcloud although not as reliable with embedded links. Some countries may not be able to see it. It can also be slow loading tracks up.

Don't know if you are clear on this, but you don't actually upload them to this site. They need to be hosted somewhere else and then you link to them. Youtube is one that has not been mentioned so far. Caveat there is, you need to turn it into a "video", but that means just sticking a single picture in there and outputting it in a movie format (MP4, avi, etc.). I have my own server account with unlimited storage and bandwidth (and no processing of my files to standards I may not like), so I host my own.

Maybe I’ll experiment with a few. SoundCloud has been fine, but I kind of hate to clutter it with things like 10 second clips of tone experimentation. Though I don’t think they have a limit on the number of things you can upload so maybe that doesn’t matter

I use Vocaroo for short throwaway clips, works fine. And embeds here nicely.

If you have a Google account, you can use Google Drive. The only downside being that the player is coming up sorta big-ish. But on the upside, it's easy to manage files.

They do have a limit. Probably take a year or more to hit if it is just 10 seconds at a time.

I like Soundcloud as it's very quick and easy to throw some tracks there and share them as most forum software can embed it.

If I was just sharing between bandmates then I'd probably go for something like Dropbox or Google Drive instead.
