It's Raiders and Holy Grail movies for me (the rest, not so much). Saw Raiders as a kid when it came out and man...

Killer game with schweet graphics. Must have a raytracing card (NVIDIA RTX type).

1st mission you get to replay the golden idol scene from Raiders.

Troy Baker sounds exactly like Indy.

I’m a few hours in on it. It’s a bit more of a slow burn than I was expecting, but it’s got a great vibe, looks amazing and the story is interesting. So far so good.

“Free” on GamePass atm, which is nice.

Hey I’m playing this on game pass right now, too.

It does look amazing and I actually thought, “Wow, how did they get Harrison Ford to do the voice work,” at first, but it hasn’t really hooked me, yet. I’ve just met with the guy at the Vatican and given him the jazz record, so not too far in, though.

I’m probably like 2-3 hours ahead of you. There is a big mission not too far off from your spot in the game that is really good.

My only gripe so far is feeling like you’re having to tip toe everywhere in the Vatican, because it’s not always entirely clear where is off limits or what is going to trigger the facists attacking you in a seemingly safe/common area. I suppose they are using that to help drive home the general unease they want you to feel, but sometimes I’m confused what the hell I did to trigger them attacking me out in the open in a common area.

Still not as cool as the original Pitfall.

I finished Act 2 last night and am now completely hooked. The “boss” battle to end act 2… HOLY SHIT. They really set the mood for that. Dude, my heart was racing, I was yelling at family brave enough to enter my vicinity to STFU and/or GTFO :ROFLMAO:

The game just creates a vibe, especially if you’re half interested in the religious and archaeological aspects of the story. They’ve done a great job of making it feel like an Indiana Jones movie.

Ok spent an hour or so playing this last night and was honestly super bored. :idk

I think I may be out.

Yeah, at the start of the desert act I was on the fence like “These puzzles are slowing the game down” and then it hit me “The stealth and puzzles are the game”. lol (I assumed it would be a run and gun type game for some reason)

The more I play though, the more I’ve figured out when and where you really need to be stealthy, which has helped speed up traversing the map. Also, I have a 15 minute rule now on puzzles before I turn to YouTube. I’ve completed about 2/3rds of them alone, but I’m not allowing myself to get completely bogged down by any one puzzle.

I guess I'll play it when it comes out on PS5.

I'm a bit apprehensive about it given the Crystal Skull retroactively ruined my childhood like a time travelling priest.

I like stealth and puzzles, but for some reason this game is just not hooking me. It looks amazing, music and voice acting is great, totally nails the atmosphere of the early movies, but I'm not engaged at all. Oh well. Also, I'm kind of over the Indiana Jones thing for a while now.

Okay, I'll stop being a party pooper and move along. :grin

Finished the game last night.

Badass game. Kind of half movie, half game really. They did a great job on the visuals, voice acting, cutscenes and the overall story.

There are a few really awesome boss fights, and all of the underground exploration is really great. Solid 8 out of 10 for me.

The only thing keeping it from a 10 is certain aspects of the combat system don’t flatter certain mission types. They clearly wanted to make it more realistic in terms of the amount of damage you can take before dying (not much) and lean it towards stealth attacks over taking on dudes direct 1v1, but on missions that force you to run through entire squads/bases you feel a little underpowered and have to make a bunch of attempts to complete them. Also, since Indy is not a gunslinger and they didn’t want players to play him as such, they sort of comically underpowered gun use. (Unless of course the enemy shoots you, which basically insta kills you lol) I largely ignored using any guns throughout the entire game. All whip, fist, and tire irons :ROFLMAO:

Great game though. That was a lot of fun.

Nice. I’ll probably come back and give it another go. I think it’s the “half movie / half game” thing that doesn’t work for me. I just want to play and explore, and so far it’s felt very tied-down and/or sit-and-watch, to me.

I've been playing this on a Legion Go and really digging it. I loved the original trilogy growing up, with Holy Grail being my favorite because of Connery. I'm at the frozen ship part now.
