Specifically about delay mix controls - aka wet/dry or blend parameters....

Which is your favourite? Could be a pedal, or a modeller.

For me, I increasingly find it difficult to get the right balance on Helix, whereas Quad Cortex and Axe FX III feel more natural to me.

I really like the wet/dry on the Meris LVX, as well as the individual dry and wet level controls too.... whereas the Timeline I always found a bit tricky to balance.

DD500 was a doddle to balance as well.

What are your favourites?

I prefer simple knob pedals with a mix knob, these days. Less tweaking, more playing. Don’t miss digital menus at all. Tons of features I missing out on. But I don’t miss them.

Doing a wet dry thing with simple pedals isn’t that hard today either… just realized I can do that with my walrus ACS1. But I won’t. :rofl

I think QC runs unity levels between 60-70% so that threw me off at first. Fractal tends to run hot so I'm usually 10-15%. Helix is middle ground, usually around 30-35%. Boss from what I remember ran really low so I was cranking it up quite a bit. Forgot about Kemper but those effects tended to blend in really well so you could crank them up.

I always feel like noon on a knob should be 50/50, and when it is 3 o'clockish like it is on the Timeline, that just messes with my head a bit. I guess it is done to give more resolution to the lower part of the range, so you can find your sweet spot in the 0% wet through to 50% wet range, but then all of the 50%-100% range gets cramped up with half of the resolution it should have.

Parallel routing or otherwise separate dry and wet levels. Fuck anything else most of the time. I want to drench everything in delay and reverb while not affecting the dry level.
