Decisions for Next Week

I’m really torn but I’m ordering one or the other next week. I know, I know, first world problems and all that.

The SLO-30 is just about perfect in every way and would fill out something I don’t already have and I’ve got a good line on a used one. But… the one in the AXE-III is pretty damn good too and would absolutely rip through the Polks. I’m heavily leaning towards the speakers at this point because I could use them for other things and they are marked down $200 (each) right now. Apparently my hearing isn’t already damaged enough…

If you are really after that sound in a lunchbox type
configuration, go for it.
I’d get a used 100 watter.
I wrestled back & forth between this for decades:
after owning a JR version of the coveted
SR version of amplifiers for a few months:
-certain characteristics of the SR version
become sorely missed to the point of just getting the SR.
The feel can also be much different and surface as
an issue sooner then later.
Same type thing with cabinetry & speakers.
Most 4X12’s sounds better then 1X12’s with amps with good master volumes.
Dimension & feel thing.
But, -whatever works for what you want is what should should get.

-I’ll take those towers of reference speakers
