December to Remember?!!

Usually this time of year has the usual Black Friday sales and that's the topic of conversation. But I don't remember one where ALL of the top-tier platforms are throwing haymakers.

  • Massive new QC update (Dumble, Synth, Cabs, lots of effects) that they amazingly somehow didn't hype or blab about beforehand.
  • Line 6 just launched Stadium XL and announced the Showcase update in December which will have new amps + more to come in NAMM in January
  • Tonemaster Pro is launching a huge update in December
  • Fractal just dropped the AM4 bomb
  • EDIT: Even frickin Headrush came off the top rope with a huge 5.0 update.
  • Kemper.......
Anyway, it's a crazy time, and no matter which platform you're on, something good is happening that should keep you from getting too jealous of any competitors.

Was about to make a post that we now have something to bitch about and pick apart for every platform, (haha) but in all seriousness it’s pretty cool to see all the big players offering something notable to their user base.

It’s a good time to be in the space as a player. 🤘
 
I'm most excited by the Tonex Plug that's arriving at my door Friday. But it has been an especially action-packed few weeks.
 
I just spent the last 2.5 hours ripping my face off. First with the Mk III post fx loop cleaning, then with the Stadium, then with the FM3. To say we face an absolute ONSLAUGHT of gear riches right now is the understatement of eternity. I'm here for it :guiness
 
I would have bet my house in January 2025 that by now I’d have unloaded all my modeling hardware in favor of my amps. Well…I did manage to sell my HXFX and Floor…but bought Stadium XL and the AM4. Then there’s a Tonex pedal and a Tonex One floating around.

I have a TMP, and I am waiting to see just how huge of an update it really is, how much is playing catch up (as they have been in the past), and how much is distinctive and interesting.

I'm also ordering a Stadium (non-XL), and I probably will be getting an AM4 any day now.

Don’t know just Freidman said on a tone talk he would have 4 new products at Namm he hoped
The VX the PhilX 20 watter 3 channel which he said is the most full featured he had done
Some other pedals if he has time and some Synergy stuff

Yeah for sure, lots of awesome stuff out there. I’m going through a phase of not really liking the sound of anything through headphones or monitors, but through big FRFR it sounds better. A

I’m at my in laws for Thanksgiving but when I get back I’m rearranging my setup…will run the Friedman jj junior 4cm with the Fender TMP for effects into a 1x12. Interested to see what they bring in the next update, but I’m looking for a bit more simplicity in the amp side.

But even this morning I spent 30 minutes practicing triads with the Kemper using an old MBritt profile and it sounded and felt great.
