Looky what I found...
I went up in the attic a couple weeks ago to see what if any xmas decorations were left up there after the ex moved out. There was a box of my old high school stuff that was open (i'm assuming she checked what was in it). Before taping it back up of course I took a little trip down memory lane and rummaged around.
When I was learning to play, my dad gave me his mom's old guitar and it had an old pickup in the case that I had completely forgot even existed.
Date stamp says 4/20/66 nice. The interwebz says people call it the "monkey on a stick", at least the older 50's version anyway.
I still have the original guitar it was purchased for, but it hasn't been in playable condition for many many years.
I took it to a luthier, but it's just some Sear & Roebuck kinda mail order guitar from back in those days.. not worth the money to restore.
It now lives on as wall art in my game room
