Oh lord; help me. I want a prewired strat pickguard. No controls. Single humbucker. Who makes one? I don't want ANY extraneous crap that will cause noise and fail. Just a pickup I can solder direct to that output jack :satan

Prewired would be harder to come by, unless they have the pickups you want on hand or you send them in to them.
Off the top of my head WD Music might do this? Probably would need to contact them directly though. Mojotone might but I don't know if they make their pickguards in house.

I just pulled all the hardware out of my current pg other than my bridge humbucker. I can cover the holes with black tape :whistle

Was gonna suggest the black tape but thought that would be a little mean. :rofl

If it's just one pickup -- you can totally do this yourself JT. I believe in you. Just order a single HB pickguard (Amazon might even have one without controls), or get Warmoth or WD Music to make you one. You attach the 2 leads to the output jack. Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy.

I am now wondering if the GK5 will fit on a pickguard without having to make a damn cutout for it. The GK3 does not and I had to take the hatchet to it :sofa

OK… I’m waiting on y’all to fix that boss g synth rig so I could be happy to buy one knowing it rocks.

Keep testing!

Warmoth will make the pickguard. I just built one on my iPad. I can't get the website to work on my computer. You would have to wire the pickup yourself.

Really amazed with the issues you're having. I played Strats at almost every gig I had from 1984 to 2016, and I never once had an issue with with the wiring crapping out on me.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I did have a Les Paul fall off a stand 10 minutes before a show in front of 1500 people if that makes you feel better.
Had to rewrite the setlists because that guitar had piezo saddles for songs with acoustic guitar.

Did you check out the Warmoth pickguard builder?
Oh god that had to have sucked

I might just ordered black tape and a better soldering iron I probably won't get around to using :rofl

Yeah, it was a Pink Floyd Tribute, and we did quite a few songs with acoustic guitars.

BTW: If you wire a pickup straight to the output, it will be a lot brighter than if it went to a 500k volume and 500k tone controls. You should just order a pre-wired from Eagle. It would be perfect for years.

Don't order a soldering gun. Misery ensues. HAHA!!!!

Said fuck it. Busted out the old iron and soldered the shit up myself. If nothing else; just to see if I could do it before I go crazy buying parts. Without the controls; it is a little brighter and more "strat (with a humbucker) like". I think I did good? I tried it out on the VII which is a circuit that is the worst for trying anything you are paranoid about noise or too trebly to try something out on. Moved to the FM and results were as expected. Fingers crossed :nails
