Carrying Case Options for Helix Stadium XL

Haven’t seen a thread on this yet so here we go…

I was thinking of getting the official Stadium Backpack - but so far I’ve only seen one pic and it looks quite flimsy and not well padded.

So looking at/for other options.

Here’s one that seems like it might work well. I don’t personally need anything hardcase or super rugged. Just good protection for local transport.

 
I have a Boss CB-ME80 carrying case that I picked up on Reverb for $60 recently. After removing the partition, my Stadium XL fits perfectly. It's a nicely padded soft case.

Cool. Im wondering if a bag that's not specific to Stadium like you found might be a good option if we can find the right size. Especially since Stadium is new - anything designed or advertised for it is likely to be more expensive since it’s the new hot thing.

I’ll check that one out in my search.

American Musical has the Stadium XL backpack in stock. I just ordered one.

 
Yeah it sounds great. I want to see someone showing it all around inside pockets, inserting and removing the stadium so we can see how snug and protective it is, etc.

My preference is to get the backpack if it’s really good. Just that single pic on the websites leaves me guessing.
 
I had a “Studio Slips” bag that fit my FM9, and I was really hoping that the Stadium XL would fit inside it and damn, it actually does! I am so pleasd with the relative compactness of the XL! I really wanted the scribble strips and the extra IO so I had to get the bigger one but the reduction in size from the old model is perfect. 🤩

That’s great to hear. My thought process was just like yours. (Plus my need for instant gratification and the XL shipping sooner).

But if the XL feels and seems a bit smaller than the OG Floor - it’ll likely be just right for me.

So I have this Pedaltrain Case which I LOVE. It's super well-built and very protective with thick padding. It's a little long for the Stadium XL - but definitely conforms around it nicely. Works well enough for now until I get something better. I can put some foam at the top to take up the space, or use it for an accessary bag or something.

Anyway - at least now I'm not in a hurry to find a case. I can take my time...
 
This Odyssey mixer bag with steel reinforced sides has served me and my 2 Helix Floors well for 8 years. For gigs, I use it to carry both Floors; for rehearsals I stuff the full-footprint accessories section with cables:
