Can I run with the same Midi controller two switchers in series?

Hi, I own a One Control crocodile tail wing, the mother-switcher of One Control reptile series.
I need to enlarge my gear (and so the loops) and I would like to buy a One Control Caimam (I think that is the name), the one with midi in/out but only five switch channels.
I will buy the morningstar M6 Pro as Midi controller, and I would like to know if I could set the PC numbers so the switchers receive a different control for each song/preset at the same time.
Example:
Caiman: loop 1,3,5 open
Crocodile: loop 1,2,6,7 open
CC messages to all midi pedals

Is it possible?
Let me know...

If each switcher can be set to a separate MIDI channel then you can control them individually by sending MIDI messages on the channels assigned.

Thx, so you're saying to me that I need to check if I can change their PC numbers?
No, you need to check if you can set the MIDI channel on the One Control units.

Program Change (PC) numbers can be anything you program into the switchers. MIDI channel is the channel each switcher responds to.

E.g set switcher 1 to MIDI channel 1, and switcher 2 to MIDI channel 2. Now any PC message you send on MIDI channel 1 will only be processed by switcher 1. You can then use those same PC message numbers to control different things on switcher 2 if you send them on MIDI channel 2.

Ok thanks for the explanation, so that means that every pedal I'm going to add in the chain must be set on a different channel? I know that the maximum is 16
It's not that it must be set to a different channel, just that if you want to control them individually then you want to have different channels.

Otherwise e.g MIDI PC 5 on channel 1 would do on every device whatever it does for PC 5. Typically select preset 5. This can be good if you know you want to do that switching, or bad if you want more granular control.

Many MIDI pedals for example will activate their presets when receiving a PC message, effectively turning all your fx on if they are on the same channel.
