Might be cool to share any nice deals that pop up in the next couple weeks.

I’m waiting to see if we get something on:
  • Tonality Josh Middleton (That friggin 5150 is 🔥 and I’m not normally a straight 5150 dude)
  • FabFilter MB Comp (Finally going to pull the trigger)
  • Eminence Karnivore IR (Smoking crack at $50)
  • Lexicon PCM Native Reverb (It’s showing a $100 discount, but I still am not paying that lol)
Y’all waiting on something specific? Seen anything cool yet?

I will definitely check out how cheap I can get the new Korg Collection 6. The Trinity VST it now includes is just too tempting. Also currently on my shopping list: Softube FET Comp, DDMF Plugin Doctor, Sonible smart:gate. And I'll probably buy ML MIKKO Reflex. I hate the Reflex IRs for playing, but they do sound great in a mix, especially for leads.

But I'm sure I'll be tempted by some other offers as well... ;-)

Nothing i’m too desperate for, but I’ll keep an eye on Liquidsonics sale as their discounts stack up quite nicely. I’ll probably cave on upgrading my UAD bundle for Ocean Way Deluxe and Dolby Type A

What’s the story on Liquidsonics, first I’ve heard of them?

Bricasti reverbs captures… interesting.

Bricasti reverbs captures… interesting.

They originally started off with IR based plugins, and then made their own “fusion IR’s” which aim to replicate some of the modulation characteristics. Reverberate, Slate Verbsuite, and the Bricasti stuff are all based on that and I like them for filling in the gaps for reverbs I don’t have algo versions of.

Reverberate covers basically everything on its own, although the bricasti ones allow you to adjust parameters a little more like the HW. I don’t think the fusion IR’s sound quite as good as the real deal, or as good as algo stuff in general but it’s still quite good.

HDCart is a full on Lexicon algo plugin. It’s the surround/HD algo cartridge from a 480L which wasn’t too common but it sounds great. I would not be surprised if the Bricasti was an extension of that approach as Casey worked at Lexicon and spoke highly of those algos.

Tai Chi is great too, it’s more focussed on modulated reverbs

ML Sound Lab is everything 50% off.

I picked up MIKKO Reflex, but haven't had time to explore it. Because the licensing system with request keys for ML is straight up arse, I've got MIKKO 2 on my Mac and MIKKO Reflex on my Windows PC. I'll probably move everything to one system at some point.

I've gotten a lot of use from MIKKO 2 and liked what I heard from the Reflex demo version with just one cab, so I felt it was worth adding. It would be nice if both were in the same product tho since it's the same UI and everything.

Interested in the UA Ocean Ways plugin, but I'll wait until I can get it in some good bundle sale. I hope they will do some better sale on actual Black Friday/Cyber Monday.

Ha, and I just crossed the first plugin off my shopping list. Sonible's sale has started and I grabbed smart:gate.

Non-Black-Friday-related addition: I also just bought the newly released Infinity Grid EZX from Toontrack. Sounds fantastic!

Shit, this thread made me remember I got that UAD package I have to update my iMac to install. And I also still need to load up Orvie's delay plugin.

@Whizzinby definitely move that MB Comp up your list. I know you're using Ozone for mastering but that MB Comp on my master bus was like a secret weapon, turning it on/off basically makes the entire mix go from garage - real studio.

Timely thread!

I'm hoping either GGD Modern & Massive 2 or EZ Drummer 3 goes on a proper sale. I've been really underwhelmed with the sales I see so far...usually we see 50% off sales in November but nobody's budging on prices right now.
