This looks really interesting; a great idea for travel. This may be too new for anyone to have tried it yet, but I'm curious if anyone's seen one out in the wild.

There is a possibility that it will just move the break.
You would need a way to measure the force typically to beak a Gibson neck and because wood is variable you would need to measure about 100 to get any data worth anything. Then add the device and do 100 more. A hard case that supports the back of the neck and floats the head is still probably better for transport and storage.
