Anyone using an iPad for music?

How do you hook up stuff? What do you play on it? Is it worthwhile if only to record jams or play synths?

I know at one point I used a lightning>USB cable to get audio from the iPad into my iMac, but that’s the extent I went with it. Pretty sure it’s all the same going in or out though, just a lightning cable to USB.

Make no mistake, I really don't have any kind of desire to use an iPad to make music. I just happened to get a coupon that gave me $500 at the Apple store and $250 cashback. So I just have to spend about a $100 to get an iPad.

Still, all said and done, like everybody else, whenever I get some gear, I try to figure out how I can use it with my existing gear.

I just figure it'll be a nice mobile rig to carry around with this Apogee Duet interface I have.

Was just reading about using a powered USB hub. That might be worth checking out so you can charge while playing.
