Anyone try a Morningstar Loop Switcher?

After realizing they make a 10-loop switcher for $400 they jumped up to the front of the line as I was looking to grab an RJM PCB10, which is a bit bulky and twice as much. I can switch the loops with the Morningstar MC6 and between both units, have plenty of room on the board.

I know their MIDI pedals get rave reviews and the features on the looper are certainly appealing-
ML10X is the ultimate compact reorderable loop switcher. It delivers completely flexible routing that allows you to split, merge and run signals in series or parallel. Experience new tones from your existing effects by switching up their orders.
• 5 stereo TRS loops or up to 10 mono loops
• 4 banks, 512 user presets

I haven’t tried the ML10X, but their ML5 has been a staple of my rig for many years now. I’ve also had an MC6 and it was fantastic.

I’ve never had any issues with anything from them. High quality stuff that works well.

I use a ML10x with a PBC/6X and it works great. Currently, I have the "Stryfecta", Chase Bliss Lossy and Chase Bliss Gen Loss MkII connected to the ML10x in stereo, which in turn is connected to loop 6 of my PBC/6X in stereo. I noticed no discernable change in tone quality with the pedals connected to the ML10x and programming it is very straightforward with the editor app.

The ML 5 is non-buffered, correct?

Sweet!! I'm reading about some complaints about the buffer messing with delay trails and some Chase Bliss stuff was specifically cited, have you run into any issues?

I haven't encountered any issues with the Lossy or Gen Loss MkII so far. Also, the delay/reverb trails from the Strymon pedals come through without issue.

I have a ML5. It does exactly what it says.

For me lack of loop ordering is no big deal because I find that the only thing that might change with my pedalboard is whether it's 4CM or all straight into amp input. The actual order of pedals is not something I want to swap when I have figured out the configuration I like.

I don't currently use the ML5 though. I moved to "almost all Strymon" for pedals because full MIDI control allowed for way easier cabling, just pedal to pedal. My pedalboard was a rat's nest underneath:

I'm planning on selling my Gig Rig G3 because it is too big, and offers too much for what I need. I'm considering one of these ML10X's to go with my MC6 Pro.

They've got an MC8 Pro now too, which looks awesome.
