Anyone buy any gear for Black Friday?

I did my shopping today, since there were good deals on the stuff I was eyeing. I bought UAD's Complete 13 bundle, and the Neural DSP Archetype; Nolly and Parallax plugins.

Got a good deal on UAD Complete, since I already had a tonne of their plugins. The Neural stuff was also half price, so it was a good time to get it.

What I am really hoping for is that the Neural DSP plugins get ported to the Quad Cortex in the near future. No way of knowing which ones will get compatibility first, so a bit of a toss of the dice on my picks. I did it based on reviews I found online.

Used all the gear to get some great tones in my tiny home "studio" today, if you can call it that. This is the two VSTs, plus some plugins from Complete 13, namely the API Vision Console Emulation and some EQs. It's actually pretty minimal processing, but I am really happy with how this sounds.

I was going to buy it anyway, but the sale on the SYN2 pushed me over the edge. (Normally they only do sales on the modules not the hardware)

I’m probably going to pick up the Parallax plug. I’ve used the Darkglass plug for so long that I should probably diversify my Bass plugs. How are you getting on with it?

Well, I just bought a new iMac before Black Friday.

Last Thursday I was totally convinced (don't ask me why) that the next day would be Black Friday. I stayed up until midnight trying to find a good deal on a new iMac and was surprised/disappointed that nothing came up. I slept really badly that night. I woke up every few minutes with the urge to look for deals. When I got up in the morning - still no deals in sight and me feeling like shit after that horrible night - it finally dawned on me that Black Friday was still a week away. I got really mad at myself and decided I wasn't going to wait for Black Friday, I was going to order a new iMac right now.

I have new IKMM iLoud Precision 6's (6.5" woofers), desktop clamp-on stands for them, a mic stand (for the included cal mic) and a mess o' cables coming today or tomorrow. At least I think - USPS gonna USPS, especially this time of year.

If they don't absofukkinlutely blow me away (over my current PreSonus Eris E5 XT's and 8" sub) - then hello Amazon returns! Homey ain't playin'

Also bought two NDSP plug-ins - Gojira & Nameless. Looks like 2 days to go until the Nameless is ported to QC and should be able to import plug-in presets!

Well, I already got the ToneX pedal after it went on sale, plus an iMac Mini M4 to replace my base M1. Probably no more gear until after the holidays…although I may do some wheeling/dealing if something irresistible pops up.

Hell, I may make my own Cyber Weekend sale if I don’t have to work…

It popped up a window offering a metal midi pack for $9 if I purchased in 2 minutes...

While I was waiting for the paypal window a prompt came up telling me the time had expired and it cancelled my order.
