Just took my neck off for the first time, and sent it to Aperio for a refret, and I noticed these metal things in the pocket, and the heel of the neck had one too, that didn’t match up location-wise.

What are they? Weights or something?

At first I thought "micro-tilt!" but I agree with Slee. They must have felt that hanging from the neck plate/screw holes was bad for the wood or interfered with the spray. :idk

Or maybe they are the connectors to the buffing robot...? I.e., a fixed locator that calibrates to the movements of the buffer. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
