It was on its probably fourth set of badly fitted tuners. M6 , Grover, waffle backs and the originals

A bit of a mess.
Not filling in the body holes as they aren’t that prominent and he may want to put the Nevertune back on at some point.

Frets are the same width as the original but taller.

Oh I used Gotoh conversion bushings to go with relic SD90s which are a very good direct replacement for old Klusons in a player grade.
The bushings are the best way to reverse oversized tuner holes because from the top they look stock hiding the oversized bushing behind the overlap on the flang.

Can people please stop bringing me vintage Gibson 335/345/355s , that’s 10 in the last few months 🤣
Can I get back to rock guitars.
Oh I don’t mind vintage Les Paul’s you can bring those.
I haven’t had many Ibanez lately not sure if that means anything.

Working on the electronics of a semi-hollow electric guitar looks like a real headache. I know there are tricks and workarounds to make it easier, but it is a far cry from just opening the electronics cavity on a solid body.

Massive PITA.

Oh anyone under the illusion that vintage Gibsons are well made;

That is from new.

So sad to think of all the people who have enjoyed playing that guitar for the past 57 years not knowing how bad it actually is. Think how much better their music could have been if only the guitar had been finished flawlessly :grin
I still like Gibson because they work as musical instruments and always use quality materials even if every day on the production line is Friday afternoon at about 4.30pm.🤣

It’s difficult to know where to stop but on vintage I minimise things to achieve the desired result usually. I don’t want a patchwork under black light.
