Liquid Metal and Turbo. Edited for my first page of favorites is 80s, First Wave, the 2 channels in the OP then my picks. Covers all the rock oriented stuff for ne generally speaking. Lithium can be good as well from time to time.

Maybe you don't know this, but on Pandora, you can choose more than 1 artist, and they'll play songs that fit in those genres, from all the artists you selected.

And, what I do, is "thumb up" all the songs I hear that I like, thumb down ones I don't, then that list becomes a new 'station' (It's called Thumbprint Radio) you can then choose, and it will still play other songs that are similar to the ones you've 'thumbed up.'

I have my playlist so curated by now, it's pretty much all I listen to at work.

And, if you can stand some short commercials, which don't bother me, since there's never more than 2 in a row, it's free.

I currently have a free week of Sirius/XM.
To me it seems as though they have a slightly different playlist of songs than commercial radio.
Yet the repetition of those playlists 🤦🏻‍♂️

I am an Album guy. No streaming apps here. I like the elongated journey
of an Album in our short-attention span culture. Even when I play music on
Youtube it is going to be Albums 90% of the time. :idk

You're right about no deep cuts on those streaming services.

I mix it up by d/l'ing albums off YT, and have them on my phone for work.

On the back of Lou Reed's "New York" album, he states the following:

"It is meant to be listened to in one 58 minute sitting as though it were a book or a movie"! I feel that way about most albums I like ;~))

No streaming services here for my music either. In the car, I connect my phone (bluetooth on newer car or old school aux input in older car) which has ~20,000 songs on it, all of which I had purchased on CD's over the years and then captured onto computer, distributed as I see fit to other devices. Hit random play and bada bing, best radio station EVER ;~))
