4 cable snake. Make it or buy it?

I'm tired of using velcro to hold my 4 cable ( well 3 of them) snake together. I tried that vinyl cable wrap stuff thats like a meshed tube and it sucks. Does anyone know where to source a similar tube BUT is heat shrinkable? I looked at 4 cable 1/4" unbalanced snakes and it's stupid pricing for the poor quality cable you get. I have high quality cables for this use and I just want to combine them neater/more pro. My eyebalss are falling out searching for this stuff. I have heat shrink tubing but none of it is big enough for 3 1/4" cables. It's meant for small wires.


I did find some but I dont know what size I need. I suck at that stuff. Would 2" diameter tubing be big enough? Too big?

I’d think 2” would be enough, there’s a ton of it on Amazon but usually only see it in 10’ lengths. I’d just grab a few of them and shrink the ends over each other.

I’ve made about 8 snakes over the years, use once and destroy snakes, I taped the shit out of them with gaff or duct tape and just throw them away when a cable dies. That’s why I don’t mind buying 6-packs of cables on Amazon for $36; re-soldering the jacks resolves 99% of the issues with them and when they die and they’re tall taped to shit I just throw ’em out.

I've used this to manage all the cables on my e-drums. A lot better than that mesh wrap stuff

What don't you like about it? I know a guitar player who uses the pedal python, and loves it, and, I use the "reusable" read: it's open and wraps closed with velcro, and it works great.

I use those kind of sleeves (not the pedal python one though) for guitar and for cable management in our studio and I really love it.
